United Airlines has announced new nonstop service between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and Tokyo Narita, beginning October 15, 2026. The route will operate four times weekly using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, marking the first transpacific service from Austin.
The 14-hour flight departs Austin at 11:45 AM and arrives in Tokyo at 4:15 PM the following day. Introductory round-trip fares start at $899 in economy and $3,200 in Polaris business class. United expects the route to be popular with Austin's growing tech workforce, which maintains significant business ties with Japanese semiconductor and automotive companies.
