Norwegian Cruise Line has announced that all ships in its fleet will feature dedicated solo traveler cabins by the end of 2026. The Studio cabins, originally introduced on select newer vessels, will be retrofitted onto 12 additional ships during scheduled dry dock periods throughout the year.
Each Studio cabin offers a full-size bed, private bathroom, and access to an exclusive Studio Lounge where solo travelers can mingle over complimentary evening cocktails. Pricing eliminates the traditional single supplement, making cruising more accessible for the growing segment of travelers who prefer to vacation independently.
Norwegian reports that solo bookings have increased 65% over the past three years, driven largely by millennial and Gen X travelers. The line is also introducing solo-focused shore excursion groups and dedicated dining times to foster community among independent cruisers.
