Southwest Airlines has launched a 72-hour flash sale featuring domestic one-way fares starting at just $49 for travel between May 15 and September 30, 2026. The sale covers over 200 routes across the airline's domestic network and includes both nonstop and connecting itineraries with no blackout dates.
Standout deals include Los Angeles to Las Vegas at $49, Chicago Midway to Nashville at $69, Denver to Phoenix at $59, and New York LaGuardia to Fort Lauderdale at $89. International routes to Mexico and the Caribbean are also discounted, with fares starting at $129 one way to Cancun and $149 to San Juan.
The sale is part of Southwest's strategy to fill seats during the traditionally competitive summer travel season. Travel experts recommend booking early in the sale window as the lowest fares are capacity-controlled and tend to sell out within the first 24 hours. All Southwest fares include two free checked bags and no change fees.
