United Airlines announced its largest-ever transatlantic expansion today with 15 new routes launching for summer 2026, connecting underserved US cities directly to European destinations for the first time.

Highlights include new nonstop service from Austin to Rome, Pittsburgh to Dublin, Nashville to Barcelona, and Salt Lake City to London Heathrow. The expansion adds over 40,000 weekly seats across the Atlantic using Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A321XLR aircraft.

United CEO Scott Kirby stated that demand for premium transatlantic travel continues to exceed pre-pandemic levels by 25 percent, driving the airline's aggressive international expansion strategy through its Newark and Washington Dulles hubs.
