United Airlines has announced the first commercial supersonic routes using the Boom Overture jet, cutting transatlantic flight times in half with New York to London service in just 3.5 hours.

Routes and Pricing

Initial routes include NYC-London, NYC-Paris, and Miami-London. Business class fares start at $5,000 round-trip, comparable to current first-class pricing on subsonic flights.

The Aircraft

The Boom Overture cruises at Mach 1.7, carries 65 passengers in an all-business configuration, and runs on 100% sustainable aviation fuel. United has ordered 15 aircraft.
