Major cruise lines are eliminating the controversial single supplement surcharge on over 100 sailings in 2026, making solo cruising affordable for the fastest-growing demographic in the travel industry.

Participating Lines

Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Holland America are offering select sailings at no single supplement. Solo travelers, who previously paid 50-100% extra for occupying a cabin alone, can now cruise at per-person double-occupancy rates.

Solo Travel Boom

Solo travelers now represent 25% of cruise bookings, up from 11% in 2019. Cruise lines are responding with purpose-built solo cabins and solo-traveler social events.
